Every committed documentation asset must be listed here before merge. Screenshot
and result rows use the stable Media ID from the canonical manifest; other local
assets use Not applicable. Do not add third-party astrophotography images, UI
captures from other applications, or downloaded media unless redistribution in
the repository and installer bundles is explicitly permitted.

Pending Media¶
Canonical screenshots and final example images are tracked by stable Media ID
in docs/user-guide/SCREENSHOT_REQUEST_MANIFEST.md. Until a retained asset is
captured and listed in the table above, each eligible consumer page uses only a
compact MEDIA_SLOT comment and never links the missing file.
The 2026-07-10 content-depth reassessment added planned captures for Auto
Gradient Removal, DeepSNR, sequences, save/export, astrometry overlays,
histogram/summary tools, catalogs, and external-tool settings; the manifest
tracks them with the other retained media. Planned, Ready, or Blocked
manifest rows do not receive provenance entries until real assets are
committed. A captured row cannot advance to Placed or Validated until the
file hash, permission, capture source, sample-data boundary, and replacement
procedure are recorded here.
A revision of the guide added a richer process catalog and glossary updates without adding new media files. The process catalog's retained inline Mermaid source was later recorded as diagram media.
A later revision updated release packaging, installer/AppImage, and Help -> User Guide documentation paths without adding new media files. No provenance rows are needed for the packaging/help integration itself.
The guide retains eight inline Mermaid diagrams and one semantic HTML flow. The three diagrams that belonged only to deferred Narrowband, Planetary, and Mosaic workflow claims were removed from release-scope diagram media. The exact audit, source mapping, normalized hashes, and browser measurements are in the diagram validation record.
Offline Runtime Policy¶
docs/user-guide/mkdocs.yml references Mermaid and MathJax through local assets
under assets/javascripts/. Mermaid fences use the project an-mermaid host so
Material's network fallback is not invoked; the local initializer renders the
trusted, repository-authored source with strict security. Do not add CDN
fallbacks to the documentation build; installer-bundled documentation must
remain usable when opened from disk without network access.
